DRIFT TRACK AT ICAR ROUTE 66
Le Drift Park at ICAR Route 66This is the place to come and try out your racing car. The track is designed to test your drift cars whether you are beginner or professional. Our Mirabel drift track is located on the airport grounds and guarantees a racing experience to die for. The new drift track features several high-speed turns and a few technical ones.
Car regulations
- Regular driftpark evening: DOT dot fmvss-218 / ece r 2205 helmet mandatory for the season Drivers and passengers (no motocross or snowmobile helmets)
- No coolant (prestone) in the radiators (cuts into everyone’s time when it comes to cleaning)
- Fire extinguisher mandatory on all drift cars
- No loose objects in the vehicle (e.g. oil can in suitcase)
- Battery must be properly installed (no ratchet strap/bungee)
- No windshield cracks (we tolerate 1 small crack, at the discretion of the driftpark managers)
- Minimum noise attenuation up to the rear wheels
*No exhaust coming directly out of the hood will be accepted*
(we all want to keep our tracks open, please help us out) - No cut/void doors are tolerated unless they are fitted with side bars.
- Convertible cars must be fitted with a roll cage.
- Wear appropriate motorized clothing and closed shoes.
- No loss of liquid on the track will be tolerated.
FLAG/LIGHT :
- Yellow: Caution accident please stop your drift to avoid the stopped car.
- Orange: Stop your drift and leave the track. (Tire on the spindle, in the case of an excessive number of revolutions or dangerous driving, an official will warn you)
ON-TRACK REGULATIONS :
- NO DRIVER UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS.
- Keep your hands in the vehicle at all times
- Stay in your vehicle at all times on the drift track (exception: car on fire)
- Don’t blow out your tires on the track on purpose
- When a vehicle has an accident or stops on the track, please stop your drift.
- Do not cut across the runway
- Common sense is a must, and drift park/route 66 managers reserve the right to prevent any vehicle or driver from driving at any time.
PADDOCK REGULATIONS :
- Speed 10km/h
- No drift, no donut, no foolish behavior will be tolerated under penalty of expulsion.
Rates
Admission to the Drift at ICAR Route 66 is $50 on Thursdays and $60 on Saturdays. This fee gives you access to the field, the drift track and the drag and drift spectator section.
